I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding at Bay Point Inn in Shelbyville, Michigan with Kayla Dutcher Photography. We drove up from Chicago, excited to capture all the special moments of the day.
The full wedding day was at Bay Point Inn
The bride preparing in a cozy cabin and the groom in a hotel room. I began the day with Kayla, and the bride and her bridesmaids. Capturing the excitement and anticipation leading up to the ceremony. Afterwards, I move to the groom’s room to photograph him getting ready and toasting with his groomsmen. As a gift, he gives each of them superhero socks, adding a playful touch to their attire.
Following, the first look is a romantic moment on a dock overlooking the serene lake. Followed by portraits around the picturesque resort grounds. The groom and his groomsmen arrive to the ceremony on a boat. It is clear that this wedding was going to be unique and memorable. Before the reception, the wedding party drive out on a boat ride. Enjoying the scenic views and the company of loved ones.
The ceremony itself is held overlooking the tranquil lake
A breathtaking backdrop for the couple’s exchange of vows. The reception is outside in a charming gazebo. Adorned with twinkling lights and rustic decor, adding to the intimate and warm atmosphere of the celebration.
As a second shooter, I had the privilege of capturing unique perspectives and candid moments throughout the day, adding to the already stunning photographs captured by Kayla. Bay Point Inn provided a stunning and natural backdrop for the celebration, truly making the day unforgettable.
Overall, the June 25th wedding at Bay Point Inn was a beautiful and memorable event. Filled with love, laughter, and joy. I feel grateful to have been a part of it. I am honored to have captured memories that the couple and their loved ones will treasure for a lifetime.
