When I first met Luke, he carried himself with a quiet. calm, and youthful presence. On a work outing to a Chicago Cubs baseball game, he set a row behind myself and his sister, Cassy. He hardly spoke a word to me, but watched the game with a quiet intensity. Over the next few years, my path would cross with Luke’s frequently. The Arceo family is the type that sticks together. Whenever there was a birthday, or dinner, or spare seat at a “girls night”, they would all travel together. Yet, still so few words spoken between us. He was “Cassy’s little brother”, the quiet kid that sat behind us, and for so long, that was all. However, when I heard that Luke was engaged, I was thrilled to offer him an engagement session.
When I met Luke and Olga and for their Wilder Mansion for their engagement session I genuinely did not recognize Luke. The quiet young boy that I had met so many times before had changed. His once bashful voice spoke with a confident authority when asking if I approved of their outfit choices. His hand laced with Olga for protection as he introduced his beautiful fiancé. The way the loved each other was clear from the first moment I saw them together.
We captured captured beautiful photos at their engagement session. And it was effortless. It was impossible to not capture their love radiating between them in every shot. Standing in their presence truly felt magical. The love between Luke and Olga is the kind of thing everyone should hold out for.
As I left the Wilder Mansion engagement session, I immediately called on of my best friends to gush about their photos. The one thing I couldn’t stop repeating? “They love each other so much!”
To Luke and Olga, thank you so much for allowing me to bare witness to your beautiful love story.
